This blog chronicles my reflections during my daily runs in the summer of ‘23. I am a streak runner which means I run at least a mile every day without skipping any calendar days (so, that’s where streak comes in—like SnapChat). Each new post corresponds with the number of day I’ve run (e.g., Day 1135 means I’ve run 1135 days in a row—for reference, as I type this on July 22, 2026, I have run Day 2275 yesterday and will run Day 2276 later today). I say RSD to mean Run Streak Day (as is the lingo in Streak Runners International). In the summer of ‘23, I noticed how the numbers almost looked like Bible verses (side-note: I’m one of those weird people who likes math), so I had an idea to turn this into an adventure to grow with God. I am not an expert: I’ve never been to seminary or even taken advanced theology classes, so these reflections are the result of online research on my own, with thought and prayer as well. I hope my own way of making sense of things might help someone else on their own faith journey. I did this in 66 days in the Summer of ‘23. I forget how many miles I ran that summer, but it really is only one mile each time (even if the run is something like four miles). You can’t run multiple miles at once; you have to run one after another. As I type this, I’ve logged 3615 miles on my streak. BUT, I haven’t run many miles because I’ve really only run one mile many, many times.

Oh, and those miles I mentioned?
