summerverse: what we learn from cobblestone roads

Here in this post from June 2023, we talk about encouragement and mutual respect.

Today’s verse: “Finally, brothers, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.” — 2 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ ‭☮️

We need to stand up for each other and stand alongside each other, and God helps us out. I always think of cobblestone roads—like the OG ones in Europe. Cobblestones are different shapes and sizes and received whatever properties they have through different circumstances, weathered differed pressures and storms, but they stand together, shoulder to shoulder, in unity and mutual respect to serve their purpose to help along the way everyone’s journey on the path forward. 🫶🏻

**Edit: the verse I chose randomly (when I was searching around for the scripture that seemed to fit and decided to do the numbers backwards and decide a reading based on that) was the 2nd reading (Bible reading) for Mass today—I hadn’t seen this week’s readings yet and had no idea. The order of the readings in the Catholic Church were chosen decades ago. Needless to say: I was shooketh when I turned the page in my Missal (all the Bible readings in the order we’ll read them) during Mass this morning.**
