This was Recital Week (June 6, 2023), so it’s quite short. Sometimes, you don’t need to say a lot though. I talk about “crazy Tuesday” here. What is it about Tuesdays? Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Tuesday’s Gone,” or Baz Luhrmann’s take on Tuesday: “Don’t worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindsides you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.” That was from “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen),” a spoken-word “song” from 1998…and it’s a masterpiece. About Tuesday, don’t forget Winnie the Pooh (via A.A. Milne): “You can’t help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn’t spell it right; but spelling isn’t everything. There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn’t count.” Anyway, I’m writing this in the wee hours of Saturday morning, but Saturday gets enough love. Here’s the “Verse of the Day” from that Tuesday in 2023.
“👟 RSD 1134 ✅ Today’s verse: “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14
Just something sweet and simple for this crazy Tuesday. 🫶🏻”
